Meatpacking District

Chelsea Office Space Chelsea is a large neighborhood that includes many diverse and quite different areas. It spans from 14thStreet to roughly 29th Street and Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River. Much of Chelsea is residential and has a wide variety of housing options. In addition to apartments, there is the arts district in West Chelsea near the Highline where many of the top galleries have spaces, the vibrant Meatpacking District and Chelsea Market near 14th Street, and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) on Seventh Avenue. In terms of value for NYC office space, Chelsea tends to be a more affordable option than the adjacent Flatiron District and Union Square. The primary business district in Chelsea, where the vast majority of office space can be found, is located between Sixth and Seventh Ave in the 20s. Hudson Square Office Space Hudson Square – not to be confused with Herald Square – is located west of Soho between Sixth Avenue and the Hudson River. (Some creative real estate agents have coined it Soho West, but the name hasn't caught on.) Once known for the abundance of printing companies who occupied most of the office space in Hudson Square, the area is now home to many large advertising agencies and architecture firms. SoHo Office Space SoHo stands for ‘South of Houston’. Office space in SoHo borders Sixth Avenue to the west, Lafayette Street to the east, Canal Street to the south, and of course, Houston to the north. Architecturally, SoHo buildings are known for their cast iron facades. This gives the neighborhood a distinct look and character, one sought after for numerous photo shoots, advertisements, and films. Most of the office space in SoHo is found in loft buildings that have been converted into office buildings. These buildings tend to have wood floors, high ceilings, and large windows, and appeal to fashion designers and creative agencies. For example, many law firms sublease private offices to other attorneys and solo practitioners. Of course, law firm offices aren’t the only businesses that sublease private offices. The office for rent could be within a creative agency or hedge fund.
