As most New Yorkers know, the word Tribeca is short for “the triangle below Canal” – Tri-Be-Ca. The boundaries of the neighborhood form a triangle on the map – sorta – with Canal to the North, Broadway to the East, Chambers Street to the South, and the Hudson River to the West. A triangle with 4 sides? Don’t ask me. Finding office space in Tribeca can be a challenge, as the heart of the neighborhood is predominantly residential. Sure, there are quite a few office buildings along Broadway and the side-streets nearby, but that stretch doesn’t possess the rom-com charm of cobblestone streets and open lofts.
