Chelsea Office Space Chelsea is a large neighborhood that includes many diverse and quite different areas. It spans from 14thStreet to roughly 29th Street and Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River. Much of Chelsea is residential and has a wide variety of housing options. In addition to apartments, there is the arts district in West Chelsea near the Highline where many of the top galleries have spaces, the vibrant Meatpacking District and Chelsea Market near 14th Street, and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) on Seventh Avenue. In terms of value for NYC office space, Chelsea tends to be a more affordable option than the adjacent Flatiron District and Union Square. The primary business district in Chelsea, where the vast majority of office space can be found, is located between Sixth and Seventh Ave in the 20s. Midtown Manhattan Office Space Although there are plenty of offices in other parts of the city, Midtown is thought of as Manhattan’s central business district, and one of the premier locations for office space in Manhattan. Geographically, most offices in Midtown Manhattan fall between 34th Street and 59th Street and between 9th Avenue and 2nd Avenue. Midtown can be divided into 3 sections: Midtown East, Midtown West, and Midtown South. Midtown is home to various types of businesses, with a large number of law firms, accounting firms, hedge funds, and other investment companies. The skyline in Midtown is dominated by towering Class A office buildings, as well as residential skyscrapers, that hoist the titians of industry high above the busy city streets. Some of the most notable office buildings in Midtown include the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, the GM Building, the Seagrams Building, and the Rockefeller Center complex, to name just a few. Office Space Near Penn Station With more than half a million commuters passing through its doors every weekday, Penn Station is the busiest transportation hub in New York City. For employees riding the rails into Manhattan from New Jersey or Long Island, it can be very convenient to lease office space near Penn Station.
