Midtown Manhattan Office Space Although there are plenty of offices in other parts of the city, Midtown is thought of as Manhattan’s central business district, and one of the premier locations for office space in Manhattan. Midtown East Office Space Fifth Avenue is the dividing line between East and West in Midtown. All numbered streets which lie east of Fifth Ave include the ‘East’ designation before the street number -- for example, 137 East 57th Street or 12 East 49th Street. Midtown East stretches from East 42nd Street to East 59th Street. Because of the high concentration of Class A office space in Midtown East, many buildings offer ideal, high-end office spaces for hedge funds and other asset management firms. Many of these businesses are located in the Plaza District section of Midtown East, which is thought of as having the best NYC office spaces.
